Tim Lane graduated from Falmouth College of Art in 2004 with a first class BA (Hons) in Illustration. Recent exhibitions include Old Beliefs, Antlers Gallery, Stroud, and Other Nature, Antlers Gallery / Frameless Gallery, London and Grotesque, Modern Eden Gallery, San Francisco . Tim’s anachronistic style takes influence from Classical Literature and World Mythologies and it is this that gives his drawing a rich narrative quality. For Tim, the consideration of Myth especially, provides a structure of multi-layered, open narrative that inspires highly symbolic imagery.
Tim is represented by the Bristol-based Antlers Gallery. Antlers launched a Kickstarter Campaign to fund the publishing of his five metre long concertina drawing ‘Anima Mundi’ as a limited edition artist book alongside a solo-exhibition in April 2014.
Tim Lane works and lives in Bristol, UK.
